The Woman Cell, NBGSM College Sohna organized a Campaign for Girls’ education and Health in Sohna Slum areas. In the kind presence of the respected principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) M.S. Khatri, Dr Anshika, In- charge, Woman Cell with the 24 girls volunteer in the cell went to slum areas. Dr. Anshika and the other girls in the Cell talked to the women and girls in the slum area and told them about the importance of Education and health for the girls of the nation. Here is a glimpse of the same:
Role of Education in a girl’s life: Education is the key to unlocking the full potential of girls and women. When girls receive an education, they are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life. They are also more likely to marry later, have healthier children, and participate in the workforce. This contributes to overall economic growth and development in their communities.
Importance of Health in a girl’s life: good health is a basic human right and essential for a full and productive life. When girls have access to healthcare, they are less likely to die from preventable illnesses and are more likely to attend school and stay in school. This also positively impacts future children as they are more likely to be healthy and have a higher chance of survival.
Overall, investing in girls’ education and health has a positive impact on individuals and families. With these messages, the team also distributed sanitary pads, eatables and stationery items to the needy girls and women.
