Technical Cognizance: Integration of ICT in Learning
Department of Economics and Literary Club has jointly organized a two-day workshop “Technical Cognizance” on the theme of “Integration of ICT in Learning” on 29th and 30th Jan. 2019 in which 26 students from different classes has participated. This workshop aims to make aware the students of various benefits of using ICT tools in learning process.
On Day 1, Ms. Neha Kachchhawat (Asst. Professor, Dept. of Computer Application) took two sessions in which she explained the basic commands and tools available in MS Word and MS PowerPoint and the students had hands on experience on computer systems as well.
On Day 2, Resource person Dr. Amit Kumar (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Science) addressed the students on the topic of “Proficiency in Internet Usage and Digital Payment Systems” in which he discussed how a student should use the internet effectively and make informed decision and thereby enhance their knowledge and further motivated the students to go digital by utilizing various digital payments systems such as UPI, AEPS, USSD, Cards, E-Wallets etc. The second session was given by Ms. Jyoti Jain (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Economics) in which through practical demonstration discussed in detail the enrollment process, duration and fee structure of various online add-on professional courses available on web portals such as MOOCS, CFA, MIT, SWAYAM, etc. The workshop concluded with distribution of prizes to the winners of Quiz and Best Presentation.
