Online State Level Declamation Competition
Co-curricular activities form an integral part of the curriculum in Nirankari Baba Gurbachan Singh Memorial College, Sohna. Therefore, to hone the oratory skills and promote critical thinking among the students, The Department of Economics organized an Online State Level Declamation Competition on 12th June 2021. The theme of the competition was “Revival of Rural India- A Roadmap to Post Pandemic Economic Recovery”. 43 students from the various colleges and universities (No.-23) participated in this competition.
The Declamation Competition was conducted online in which students sent their recorded videos of 4-6 Minutes on the given topic through e-mail and Telegram Channel. Students were judged on the following criteria: quality of the content, confidence and body language, timeline and language proficiency. Out of 43 students, 15 videos were shortlisted for the final selection on the basis of the above criteria. Among them, the best three videos were selected for the first, second, and third prize.

The result was declared on 15th June 2021 through social media channels like Instagram and the Facebook page of the college and website. Winners were awarded prizes accordingly and e-certificates were also provided to all participants for putting their best efforts and hard work to make this event successful.
