Financial Literacy Awareness Program
On 15th November 2021, Department of Commerce organized an online Financial Awareness Program on the topic “Career Opportunities in Financial Market and Investor Awareness Webinar by SEBI” through Cisco WebEx from 4 pm to 5 pm. Mrs. Shakuntala Devi Pareek (Financial Education Trainer by SEBI) was the resource person for this session. 54 students and faculty members attended this session. The following are the topics covered in the session: Securities Exchange Board of India, pre requisites for buying and selling shares in securities market, what questions should be asked before investing, rights of a shareholder, SEBI’s recent investor protection measures and services offered by depositories etc. In the end, queries of students were taken by the resource person. It was a knowledgeable session for all.
