Career Counselling Session

Placement Cell, N.B.G.S.M. College, Sohna in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan organized a Career Counselling session for all the students in City Campus. It was held in the presence of Dr. M.S. Khatri (Principal) along with teaching faculty members of the college. The session began with a facilitation ceremony by Mrs. Mamta Dhawan, former Magistrate (Juvenile Court), Social Worker and National Youth Awardee. She welcomed the Principal Dr. M.S. Khatri, Vice- Principal Mrs. Prerna Sharma and Speaker Dr. Sarita by presenting a bouquet.

The session began with the welcome speech by Dr. M. S. Khatri, Principal, N.B.G.S.M. College, Sohna. In his speech he motivated the students to pursue higher goals and emphasize on the importance of employability skills and entrepreneurship. He further highlighted that one should try to become a Job Giver instead of Job Seeker. Thereafter, Dr. Sarita shared her valuable views on employability skills. She is a registered Counselor with NYKS with experience of more than 25 years.

Dr Sarita in her talk shared the various aspects of career perspective, goals and opportunities in the market. She further explained about the self assessment test to know one’s interest. Thereafter, a short session was taken by Ms. Neha Gupta (Incharge, Placement Cell) and she talked about the SWOT analysis. In the end, Ms. Rohini Kumari (Member, Placement Cell) informed about the various online platforms like Swayam, Coursera, Udemy etc. to learn new skills and enhance the knowledge.  The session concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Mrs. Mamta Dhawan.
