Three Days Workshop on National Education Policy-2020
N.B.G.S.M. College, Sohna organized a three days workshop on National Education Policy–2020 (NEP 2020) from 09th June to 11th June 2022. The objective of this workshop was to create awareness among the teaching and non-teaching staff members about the vision and mission of NEP–2020. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. M.S. Khatri, Principal of the college by welcoming the speakers of the workshop viz. Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Bakshi, Vice-Chancellor, PDM University, Bahadurgarh and Chairman, GAD-TLC Centre, Delhi; Dr. Krishna Kant Gupta, Principal, Aggarwal College, Ballabhagarh; and Dr. Naseeb Singh Gill, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Application, MDU, Rohtak. In his welcome address Dr. Khatri emphasised that the implementation of NEP-2020 is the need of the hour and everyone should work on its implementation proactively.
The key speaker for Day 1 of the workshop was Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Bakshi who shared the vision for “Higher Education in India–2020 in light of NEP” with a special focus on three main elements, i.e., students’ enrolment in the Higher Education System, Holistic and Multidisciplinary Education and Online Education. The key speaker for Day 2 was Dr. Krishna Kant Gupta, who shared his views on the integration of Experiential learning and incorporation of Indian Knowledge and value education in curriculum, competency-based education, art and sports integrated education. He also discussed about the criterion under NAAC. The key speaker for Day-3 was Dr. Naseeb Singh Gill, who shared about the learning process as discussed in the NEP and how it will give rise to multiple hybrid jobs with the rapid progression of information technology. The queries and concerns expressed by the faculty members was expertly address by the speakers.
Mrs. Prerna Sharma, Vice-Principal of the college and Dr. D.P. Singh, Associate Professor, Department of English presented vote of thanks to the key speakers for having such informative and fruitful sessions.
