Pre-Placement Session
On 7th January 2022, Placement Cell, N.B.G.S.M. College, Sohna organized an online Pre- Placement session for the final year students of college through google meet platform. This session was organized on the theme ‘Effective Communication Skills’. The session began with warm welcome of the speaker Ms. Nandita Mittal who is an author/writer in Yukiyoto Publication and formerly Personality Development Trainer at Banasthali University, Rajasthan by Ms. Neha Gupta (Incharge, Placement Cell). The session was attended by around 100 students.
Objectives of the session are as follows;
- To enlighten participants on ways to communicate effectively.
- To demonstrate and educate participants about various methods of communication
- To provide an action plan to overcome barriers of communication
Ms. Nandita Mittal in her talk shared views on various topics such as;
- Formal and Informal Communication (Channels of Communication)
- Communication Barriers
- Communication skills needed during telephonic and online interviews.
- Methods to overcome communication barriers
- Email Etiquettes for the Freshers
In her talk, she also emphasized on the various tools and techniques to be followed for making the communication skills effective. The queries raised by the students were also addressed by Ms. Mittal. Furthermore, a feedback form was filled by the students. The session ended with a vote of thanks presented by Ms. Rohini Kumari (Incharge, Placement Cell). The session was very engrossing and thought-provoking.
