National Science Day–2021
Tuesday, 02nd March 2021: Department of Science celebrated the National Science Day -2021 on the theme “Future of Science, Technology and Innovation: Impacts on Education, Skill and Work” by organising a Paper/Poster Competition on 02nd March 2021.The event began with the address by senior faculty Dr. S.P. Monga who reminded the students about the contributions made by Sir C.V. Raman in the field of science. This was followed by the presentation by various participants on the said theme. A documentary on the life of Sir C.V. Raman was also showcased on this day. Afterwards, the prizes were distributed to the winners by the senior faculty Dr. O.P. Kalra, Ms. Ruby, Ms. Sarika and Ms. Poonam (Team A) from B.Sc. I for bagging first prize. The second prize was given to two teams viz. Ms. Reeta, Ms. Manisha, Ms Anjali (Team B) and Mr. Vikrant and Mr. Vikash (Team E) of B.Sc.I . Ms. Yashika from B.Sc. II received third prize. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Amit Kumar who also motivated the students to pursue higher education in the field of science and use their knowledge in creating new technological advancement and innovation. He thanked all the participants for their active involvement and Mr. Prashant and Ms. Dolly from B.Sc. 2nd Year for hosting the event efficiently.
