Annual Day Celebration 2019
Nirankari Baba Gurbachan Singh Memorial (NBGSM) College, Sohna celebrated its Annual Day Function on 05th March 2019 with the theme “Dedication”. The function was presided over by the chief guest Rev. Mrs. Bindiya Chhabra ji, Executive President, Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation.
The event commenced with a welcome song by the students, followed by lighting the lamp by the chief guest and other key attendees.
Rev. R. S. Manhas ji, Executive President, NBGSM College, in his welcome address, appreciated the efforts made by the staff in representing the core philosophy of the institution i.e. value based education. He further appreciated the hard work and determination of the students in achieving academic and co-curricular goals.
This was followed by recitation of a Sanskrit Shlok by Ms. Kavitha, student of the College which was translated in hindi by Ms. Lipika, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit, emphasizing the dedication towards God and his blessings to our earth and humanity.
Dr. M. S. Khatri, Principal, in his Annual report highlighted the growth of the college which includes the enhancement in infrastructure, commencement of new job oriented diploma paramedical courses. He further elaborated the achievements of students in academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
The chief guest Rev. Mrs. Bindiya Chhabra Ji, Shri M.C. Nagpal Ji (President, NBGSM College), Shri S.C. Talwar ji, (Incharge, Education) and S.S. Sethi (General Secretary, NBGSM College) distributed the prizes to the meritorious students for their commendable academic performances and achievements on bagging various positions in University Rankings and also gave away Certificates to students who proved their caliber in sports and co-curricular activities in University, State and National Level competitions.
The chief guest Rev. Mrs. Bindiya Chhabra ji in her address appreciated the commendable growth of the college from the year of its inception and emphasized the importance of dedication in individual, which was also the dream of the founder of the college, Baba Gurbachan Singh ji and Mata Savinder Hardev ji.
This was followed by a “Nukkad Natak”, Stage Play and Sufi Song performance by SNCF volunteers and students of the college, respectively portraying the importance of dedication within self in the upliftment of individual and the bringing pride towards nation.
Our college Alumnus Shri Yashveer Raghav (2003 Batch) shared his experience during his college life. On a similar note, Shri Rishi Gupta, Civil Judge, Motihari, Alumnus (2004 Batch) sent a voice message on appreciating the annual day celebration of the college and recollected some cherishable moments during his college life.
A mesmerizing musical performance was given by Rev. Ashwani ji (Singer and Artist) which was enjoyed and cherished by all.
The Celebration came to an end with vote of thanks by Rev Parveen Middha ji, (Vice President, NBGSM College). A delicious lunch was served at the end of the Annual Day celebration.
