National Seminar on “Challenges and Opportunities in Commerce and Management”
The Department of Commerce and Management has organised a National Seminar on “Challenges and Opportunities in Commerce and Management” on 25th November 2017. In this seminar, 83 scholars from various colleges in and around Haryana has participated.
The Seminar started with lighting of lamp by the delegates Dr Subash Garg (Dean, CRID, IIS University, Jaipur), Prof. H. Venkateshwarlu (Osmania University, Hyderabad), Prof. Narender Garg (Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur), Prof. Ravinder Vinayak (Dean, Academic Affairs, M.D.U.) in presence of Sh. Ravinder S. Manhas (Executive President, Governing Body, NBGSM College) and Dr M.S. Khatri (Principal, NBGSM College). This was followed by the keynote address by Prof. H.Venkateshwarlu in which he stressed on various challenges and opportunities in Indian Economy through various tools like demographic, polices and technologies. Chief guest Dr Subash Garg advised the participants on laying stress on the policies of government on GST and demonetisation while discussing their presentations. The inaugural session was concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr S.P. Monga.
The first and second technical session was chaired by Prof. Narender Garg and Dr. Rita Ahuja (Convener, National Seminar), respectively. In these technical sessions various topics such as Consumer Behaviour, Mobile Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Digital India, Demonetization, Cashless Economy were presented by the participants.
The valedictory session was presided over by Prof. Ravinder Vinayak. Addressing the participants, he advised the young generation to improve their knowledge qualitatively for their growth and contribute towards the development of the country. The session came to end with a vote of thanks by the principal Dr. M.S. Khatri followed by National Anthem.
