General Awareness Session on Coronavirus

On 5th March 2020, a General Awareness Session on Corona Virus was organized by the Dept. of Commerce and Mathematics for the students and staff members in New Campus.  This program was conducted with an aim to provide an awareness among the students and staff members about the preventive measures required to stay safe from the fatal Corona Virus.

This session began with the address by Ms. Nikita Khatana (Assistant Professor, Commerce) in which she made aware the audience about the origin, sources and symptoms of Corona Virus. Ms. Aakansha Tyagi (Assistant Professor, Mathematics) followed this with an address on the preventive measures required to stay safe from this fatal virus such as: regular handwash, usage of facemask and tissue paper, by avoiding crowded places, and consulting medical practitioner as soon as possible if any of the symptom of Corona Virus like coughing, sneezing and fever is observed. A short video on the preventive measures was also shown in which Dr. Naresh Trehan (Chairman, Medanta Hospital) gave useful tips on how one can prevent this disease and what one should do if any of the symptom arises. The program concluded with the address by Rev. R.S. Manhas ji (President, Governing Body) in which he appreciated the staff for organizing such awareness session and asked the students to spread this awareness among their friends and family.
