Convocation Day
Nirankari Baba Gurubachan Singh Memorial College, Sohna organized its Convocation Day on 14th February, 2020. Shri Dushyant Chautala Ji, Deputy Chief Minister, Haryana was the Chief Guest of the function. The function started with the arrival of the Chief Guest. The students of NCC escorted him and with the academic procession the Chief Guest entered the arena. The program started with the lighting of lamp in which Rev. S.C. Talvar Ji (SNM Education Incharge), Rev. Ravindra Singh Manhas Ji (President of the Governing Body), Rev. Praveen Middha Ji (Vice-President), Rev. S. S. Sethi Ji (General Secretary), Rev. Vinod Babbar Ji (Treasurer) and Dr. M.S. Khatri Ji (Principal) accompanied the Chief Guest. The student of our College chanted mantras along with the lighting of lamp. Rev. Raman Manhas Ji and Dr. M.S. Khatri Ji presented a plant sapling to the Chief Guest. The Shabad No. 33 of Hardev Bani “Guru Hi Sumiran Guru Hi Pooja” was presented in musical form by the students of college. Rev. Ravindra Singh Manhas Ji gave the welcome address. Rev. S. S. Sethi Ji presented the report on infrastructure. Dr. M. S. Khatri Ji presented the Principal’s report. 140 students of graduate and post-graduate classes were awarded with the degrees. The students who were outstanding in their respective fields such as academics, cultural and sports were also awarded. The Chief Guest in his Convocation address elucidated the importance of study and technical knowledge. After the Convocation address the students of College performed a Haryanvi Dance. It connected the audience to the cultural and ethical values of Haryana. A token of regard was presented to the Chief Guest by Rev. S. C. Talwar Ji. Vote of Thanks was given was Rev. Praveen Middha Ji. At the end all the dignitaries, staff members and students sung the National Anthem with the Chief Guest Shri Dushyant Chautala Ji. A group photograph of Teaching and Non-teaching staff was taken. Lunch was served to dignitaries, guests and staff members. The students and their parents were served with refreshment. The programme was appreciated by al and ended with happy note.
